Alison Kosinski

“I love building strong relationships with my clients and working with them to reach real solutions.”

Alison has over twelve years of experience litigating and advising on employment matters.  Before co-founding Kosinski and Thiagaraj, Ltd. with Emily in 2014, she exclusively advised California employers on compliance and mitigation issues.  Now, Alison handles a wide range of employment matters, from negotiating severance agreements on behalf of individual employees to representing large classes of workers in class action litigation.  Alison particularly treasures the long-lasting relationships she builds with individual clients, helping them navigate complex work situations, whether it be investigations, protected time off, or complaints of unlawful conduct.  At the same time, Alison is detailed-oriented and truly enjoys carefully and meticulously revising all types of employment documents, from contracts and releases to comprehensive and up-to-date employer policies.

“Being part of a team with my client, representing their interests to my fullest—that’s what I love about being a lawyer.”

Alison is also a dedicated volunteer, having represented asylum applicants and other immigrants to the United States on a pro bono basis.  Alison’s immigration experience includes handling permanent residency and citizenship applications, representing immigrants who have been victims of crime, and representing clients at U.S. asylum offices and Immigration Court.  In addition to her legal work, Alison is a lifelong advocate for animals.

Outside of her busy law practice, Alison enjoys spending time with her husband, Andy, their young daughters, Nathelina and Annika, and their senior cats, Galoshes and Hop.

Alison speaks Mandarin and Spanish.
